How can I build a better posture through yoga?
Poor posture comes from our daily habits. We always move our body in one direction. So, the muscles that move the body in the opposite direction become dormant. We forget how to use these muscles, so we cannot bring our body back to an upright posture.
Most common posture now a day is hunched upper back. We are always bending the upper back forward to look at a screen. We never bend the upper back backwards, so the muscles in the upper back become dormant. Through yoga poses, we rebuild connection with these muscles. Then we train these muscles to become stronger. When these muscles are strong again, we will naturally be in an upright posture all the time.
